These handmade earrings are embroidered in traditional Palestinian Tatreez by women artisans in Palestine using original DMC cotton embroidery threads. The design features the iconic Star of Ramallah (Najmat Ramallah) pattern — a geometric star motif deeply rooted in the embroidery traditions of the Ramallah region.
The Star of Ramallah is known for its structured symmetry and radiating form, often symbolizing balance, continuity, and the connection between land and community. Historically, this motif appeared in traditional thobes from the Ramallah area, where precise, repetitive stitching reflected both technical mastery and regional identity. Its bold geometry distinguishes it from floral motifs, making it one of the most recognizable patterns in Palestinian Tatreez.
The earrings are designed by Palestinian artist Ghenva Alkabra, who teaches and leads workshops dedicated to preserving and evolving the art of Tatreez. Each pair bridges heritage and contemporary design, carefully handcrafted and brought to Europe in support of women artisans in Palestine.
More than adornment, each piece carries a visual language of memory, place, and generational skill — translated into a modern, wearable form.
