This handmade bookmark is embroidered using traditional Palestinian Tatreez, crafted by women artisans in Palestine with original DMC embroidery threads. The design features the historic Damascus Roses pattern (Ward Al Sham) — a motif originating from Ramla, where it appears on the thobes of Palestinian women.
The bookmark has been designed by Palestinian artist Ghenva Alkabra, who teaches and leads workshops sharing the art of Palestinian Tatreez. Each piece brings together heritage knowledge and contemporary application, carefully stitched and imported to Europe to reach you while supporting traditional craftsmanship.
More than a reading accessory, this bookmark is a small textile artwork carrying story, identity, and handwork across borders.
