As part of Rise Up! Indigenous Liberation Week, this workshop explores how Palestinian Tatreez goes beyond embroidery: it is a living expression of identity, heritage, memory, and resistance.

Whether you have never held an embroidery needle before or are simply curious about Palestinian textile traditions, this workshop will introduce you to the basics of Tatreez in a welcoming and accessible environment.

  • Learn the basics of traditional cross-stitch embroidery.

  • Explore Palestinian motifs and their connections to place, identity, and heritage.

  • Create your own small embroidered piece to take home.
